Joe Walks You Through It No confusing fine print alone

Your Roof Can't Wait.
Your Budget Shouldn't Have To.

A failing roof doesn't care about your bank account balance. And you shouldn't have to choose between protecting your home and protecting your finances.

That's why No Big Deal Home Solutions partners with Acorn Finance — a home improvement lending marketplace. Instead of applying to one bank and taking whatever they offer, you fill out one short application and Acorn's network of vetted lenders comes back with real offers — rate, term, and monthly payment, side by side. You compare, you pick, or you walk away. Checking uses a soft credit pull, so just looking never touches your score.

You're not taking a second mortgage to replace your roof. These are unsecured homeowner loans with a payment that fits your actual life.

Joe walks through every option with you personally. No confusing paperwork on your own. No pressure to take something that doesn't make sense. You'll know your payment, your term, and your rate before you commit to anything.

  • Pre-qualify in about 60 seconds — soft credit pull, no impact to your score
  • One application, offers from a network of vetted lenders — they compete, you choose
  • No home equity required — unsecured homeowner financing
  • Flexible terms — pick the payment that fits your budget
  • Applies to roofing, siding, gutters, and restoration work
  • No pressure — financing is a tool, not a sales tactic. If it's not the right fit, Joe says so.

Don't Shrink the Project.
Shrink the Payment.

Here's the trap I watch homeowners fall into every year: the roof needs $14,000 of work, the checking account says $2,000 — so the $2,000 patch wins. Not because it solves anything. Because it's what today's cash can reach. When a repair genuinely fixes it, I'll quote you the repair and shake your hand. But on a roof that's at the end of its life, patch money is rent, not equity. It buys months. It never counts toward the roof you'll still have to buy.

Sized to today's cash
$350–$2,500 per patch, per visit
The patch-and-pray plan on a roof that's already done.
  • Fixes the leak you can see — the next weak spot is already forming
  • Another storm season, another visit, another check
  • None of it counts toward the replacement you'll buy anyway
  • Interior damage risk keeps compounding while you wait
VS
Sized to what the house needs
$197–$270/mo · illustrative*
A typical $14,000 architectural replacement, spread over a 10-year term at the marketplace's published APR range.*
  • The full tear-off replacement — done once, warrantied
  • Same price as cash — my price is my price, financed or not
  • Your emergency fund stays an emergency fund
  • Backed by the NBD Lifetime Pledge either way

The most expensive roof out there is the one you pay for twice — once in patches, then again in full.

Your number isn't $14,000? Slide your real project into the estimator below, then check actual offers with a soft pull that never touches your score.

*Illustration only, not an offer of credit — a fixed, fully-amortizing loan at the Acorn Finance marketplace's published 11.49%–19.99% APR range over 120 months. Your actual rate, term, and payment are set by a third-party lender based on your credit. And if a repair is truly all your roof needs, that's what I'll tell you — and quote.

What Might It Cost
Per Month?

Slide to a rough monthly payment for a project financed through the Acorn Finance marketplace. It's only an estimate — your real rate and term come from the lender when you check your options.

Estimates are for illustration only and are not an offer or guarantee of credit. Payments assume a fixed, fully-amortizing loan at the APRs shown and exclude any taxes or fees. In the Acorn Finance marketplace, APRs currently range from 11.49% to 19.99% and terms from 2 to 15 years; your actual rate, term, and payment are set by a third-party lender based on your credit when you apply and are subject to change. No Big Deal Home Solutions is not a lender and does not make credit decisions.

Financing Questions.
Real Answers.

Will applying affect my credit score?

Checking your options through Acorn Finance uses a soft credit pull, which does not affect your credit score. A hard inquiry only happens if you choose a specific lender's offer and complete the full application with that lender — and you'll know exactly when that step is.

What credit score do I need?

Acorn's lender network works with a wide range of credit profiles — that's the point of a marketplace. What you're offered depends on your credit, income, and the lender. Since checking is free and doesn't touch your score, the honest answer is: check, then decide. If financing isn't the right fit, Joe will tell you straight instead of pushing you into something that doesn't make sense.

Can I finance insurance work too?

Yes — financing can cover your deductible or any out-of-pocket portion of an insurance-covered project. This is one of the most common uses.

Is there a minimum project size for financing?

Generally financing makes the most sense for projects $3,000 and above. Ask Joe about your specific project and he'll give you a straight answer on whether it makes financial sense to finance.

Wouldn't a cheap repair now be smarter than financing a replacement?

Sometimes — and when it is, that's exactly what I'll quote you. If a repair genuinely solves it, a repair is the right call and there's nothing to finance. The trap is patching a roof that's already at the end of its life: those checks buy you months, not a roof, and none of that money counts toward the replacement you'll still need. When the roof is done, financing lets the project match what the house needs instead of what this month's cash allows. Check your real options with a soft pull and decide with actual numbers.

Who is the actual lender?

Acorn Finance is a lending marketplace, not a lender. Your loan comes from one of the vetted lending partners in their network — and you'll see that lender's name, rate, and full terms before you commit to anything.
