Every year, I pick one Cincinnati-area homeowner and give them a complete roof replacement — free. No strings. No pitch. Just a new roof from a local crew that actually cares who's under it.

I'm not looking for a sob story. I'm looking for a real homeowner whose roof is failing and replacing it isn't on the table. Veterans, widows, single parents on a fixed income, neighbors whose insurance won't cover it — anyone whose life would genuinely change with a roof that won't leak anymore. Nominate yourself, or nominate someone whose story you know.
Veterans & Military Families
Active duty, retired, Guard, or a surviving spouse. If you served, you move to the front of the line.
Widows & Single Parents
One income, a house to keep up, and a roof that's been patched one too many times. I know the math.
Fixed Income & Disability
Social Security, VA disability, or any situation where a $15k roof replacement isn't happening without help.
Insurance Wouldn't Pay
Your carrier denied a legitimate claim, or the damage fell through the cracks. I've been on that call.

I Read Every One
No algorithm. I'm the one reading submissions. If I have questions, I'll call.
Finalists Get an Inspection
I come out, climb the roof, and confirm what it needs. Free regardless of whether you're selected.
Winner Announced
Drawing date posted on NBD socials. Full replacement — tear-off, new shingles, warranty — on the house.

Rules, honestly stated.
- Open to homeowners in NBD's Greater Cincinnati service area (Hamilton, Clermont, Warren, Butler, Campbell, Kenton, Boone counties).
- One entry per household. Duplicate submissions are consolidated, not disqualified.
- Nominee must be the legal homeowner of the property at the time of installation.
- Finalists' roof condition is confirmed by a free NBD inspection. The inspection happens regardless of whether you're selected.
- Winner is selected at NBD's sole discretion. This is a gift, not a contest — I'm looking for real need, not the best essay.
- Full replacement covers materials, labor, tear-off, underlayment, flashing, and a standard NBD warranty. Structural damage beyond a normal replacement is discussed ahead of work.
- If the selected home is structurally unsound or insured for a covered replacement already, NBD may select a different finalist.
- NBD reserves the right to document the gift on social media. The homeowner's privacy preferences come first — faces and exact addresses only shared with explicit consent.
