🏗️ Gutter Replacement in Lebanon, OH

Lebanon is Warren County's seat, with a historic core of 19th and early 20th century homes surrounded by 1970s–1990s suburban growth. Older Lebanon homes frequently have wood fascia that's been compromised by years of leaking at gutter seams — making fascia board inspection and replacement a common companion to the gutter install. When hail does damage a roof, it usually dents the gutters in the same storm, which makes a combined replacement practical and cost-efficient. For the record, NOAA's Storm Events Database shows no hail an inch or larger within about 5 miles of Lebanon from 2019 through June 2026; what it shows is wind, including an EF1 tornado from South Lebanon to Stubbs Mills on May 7, 2024.

Before any new gutters go up, I inspect the fascia boards. Lebanon's historic housing stock — especially on Broadway and the blocks surrounding downtown — frequently has original wood fascia that's been silently rotting behind old sectional gutter seams for years. Damaged fascia is identified and corrected before new gutters are mounted. Installing new gutters over compromised fascia is one of the most common gutter installation mistakes — I don't cut that corner.

Downspouts are positioned to discharge well away from foundations — critical for Lebanon's historic homes where foundation waterproofing is often minimal. A storm that damages the roof often damages the gutters at the same time, and when that happens, I document the gutter damage alongside the roof damage. Full cleanup and haul-away is included in every job.

Common questions

Gutter Replacement FAQ — Lebanon, OH

Do Lebanon's historic homes need special gutter considerations? ▸

Yes. Lebanon's historic core — particularly homes on Broadway and surrounding streets — often has wood fascia that's been compromised by decades of seam leaks. I inspect fascia before any install begins. Some older rooflines also have geometry that requires custom downspout positioning to manage drainage without damaging older foundation systems. Everything is assessed on-site before material is cut.

Can hail damage gutters enough to warrant replacement alongside a roof? ▸

Yes. Hail an inch or larger can dent and deform aluminum gutters to the point where they no longer drain properly. When a roof is being replaced after a hail event, combining gutter replacement in the same insurance claim is often practical — and cost-efficient since the crew is already on-site.

What size gutters do Lebanon homes typically need? ▸

Most Lebanon residential properties use 5-inch K-style gutters as the standard upgrade from original undersized systems. Larger roof surfaces, steeper pitches, or historic homes with complex rooflines may need 6-inch gutters for adequate capacity. I assess and recommend the right size before any material is cut on-site.

My Lebanon home has older wood fascia behind the gutters — does that need to be replaced too? ▸

Rotted or compromised wood fascia is common behind Lebanon's older sectional gutter systems — especially in the historic district. Installing new gutters over failing fascia defeats the purpose of the upgrade. I inspect every fascia board before installation begins and replace damaged sections before the new gutters go up.
